When Bill Moyers asked Joseph Campbell how to raise our consciousness, Joseph said that our consciousness is limited by what we are predisposed to think about. Many people are preoccupied by money and where it is coming from and where it is going to go. We think in a rut. Campbell suggests that myths, traditional stories concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural or social phenomenon help us to raise our consciousness to make sense of the universe and our place in it.

Let’s see if we can elevate out of the rut of ruminating about money in a manner that keeps us worried and tight.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius yearns for the transcendent, a life beyond perceived limitations, while the Sun in Gemini might accept ideas that keep you pedestrian. Maybe the Moon has you wishing for somewhere over the rainbow where life is not so circumspect. However, the tone of this chart is Taurus and, unless you feel resourceful, you are earth bound and maybe seeing through a glass darkly (Venus, ruler of Taurus opposes Saturn and limitations are apparent and fear in present, and inadequacy is felt). Money is not the accomplisher. Money is like a one trick pony that tricks us and trips us as we do not realize that Source is far more versatile than money.

Uranus in Taurus speaks of absolute resourcefulness. That means you rise above money.

The money myth that I often ponder is the Parable of the Talents in which a man gives one servant five, talents, another two talents and to a third servant he gave one talent. In biblical terms, a talent is a piece of currency. The servant who was given five talents, returned 10. The one given two returned four. Each of these men were told, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”

The servant who had been given one talent buried it and returned only the one and was cast out for being slothful and missing the mark. The man pronounced that everyone who had shall be given and shall have abundance, but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he had.

Many of us are like this servant. “Not enough” is our mantra and our repeated experience. We say, “What can I do with is? It can’t buy me what I need and want.”

Uranus in Taurus square Mars in Aquarius cautions against forcing matters due to desperation. Remain calm. Ask for assistance from the Universe. Mars in Aquarius sextiles Chiron in Aries in the 10th. An independent, honest hustle could work. Look for opportunity, keeping in mind that you and your talents are one of a kind.

Speak optimistic words into your heart and your experience. As Jupiter is in Scorpio and part of a grand trine in water that involves creative Venus and imaginative Neptune, go for a feeling of wealth. With Neptune in Pisces in the 10th, speak of the world as being on your side. Say something like, the Universe is for me. I shall not want. I am prosperous and rich beyond compare. I tap into my own wealth.
