I am telling you about this dream that I had, even though I don’t want to tell the dream or the scene that provoked it. I dreamed of a man whose face was a tawny yellow, with devilish eyes standing in the doorway of my building cursing me violently as I approached. His head was a bit elliptical, and flat. Almost like a cartoon. I decided to side-step him and to go in “the back way,” an entrance that was on the same side of the building as the front. As I turned to the left to head to this alternative door and avoid passing him, he hissed at me that he was not going to stop until he got me, and I understood this to mean that he wanted to get me over to the dark side.
This was Wednesday night; the day Republicans muscled their way into the impeachment hearings and I had to fight out images of me marching in with an assault rifle mowing some government people down. That part was a true-life day-flashing and I almost told my office mate that this was how I was feeling, but I didn’t want to give it energy by saying it out loud. I was alarmed at being tempted into these images which were uncharacteristic for me.
I am telling the story publicly instead because I had not been able to push out any intellectual analysis of the Sun and Moon at 4 degrees of Scorpio opposed by Uranus at 4 Taurus. I started and stopped and stalled. I did my laundry, watched three or four episodes of the Dog Whisperer and ate lunch. Finally, I meditated. Still nothing would come except the memory of the deep frustration I felt for what is happening in our government and the knowledge that my emotions fitted Scorpio symbolism.
There is no danger of me going out and getting a rifle. Guns give me the willies. But the flashes told me that my level of frustration was high consistent with Mars in Libra square Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. Mars square Saturn signifies movement that is frustrated.
I am sharing this with you because I know many people are feeling the configuration of Scorpio energy and Mars in hard aspect to Saturn and Pluto. If you are feeling a murderously high level of frustration, you might want to talk yourself down. Be aware of “stinkin’ thinkin,” of being too pessimistic and dark (In the new Moon solar chart Saturn conjuncts Pluto in the third house). Be alert to any thinking about all the reasons why you can’t have what you want and or thinking that life circumstances are bad and rotten and will never change.
The New Moon’s opposition to Uranus in Scorpio has the potential of waking us up. Consider that even when you know the “facts” you are imagining the facts. Imagine what you want. Lean toward love, peace and beauty. That is where the transformative wisdom is (Venus, Love; Pallas-Athene, Wisdom and Mercury, Thinking/Communicating are in later degrees of Scorpio).
Practicum
If you need to diffuse, go do art. Listen to something funny. Play your instrument. Sing. Dance. Keep the faith. Wait upon the Lord, who is your own Higher Soul, who has ways you know not of.
