Full Moon | Lunar Eclipse
August 28, 2026 ET/ August 29, 2026 – PT 4 Pisces 54’
Last night, in a small group of women on Zoom, I was about to share, relative to the Sun of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse being on my progressed ascendant, and the Moon in Pisces being opposite the ascendant, that my body has become more cumbersome recently, with getting out of my desk chair becoming a little painful. When I do a bit of walking, like to my car, my legs feel a little painful and unsteady.
As I spoke, in the back of my head was, Duh. You’ve not regularly exercised in this same period. This isn’t something that is happening because the years are passing. This is happening as a direct result of your passing on exercising or moving. Only 20-30 minutes a day would bring back the strength in my legs and make getting up from sitting no longer painful.
The good news is that although I have been recalcitrant about exercise, I have not been unconscious. I am watching me. The people listening last night started to share suggestions about what I could do. One woman pointed out that the doing was not the point. We needed to go deeper. Why? I know what to do, but I am too “busy” being inactive to do it.
As I tap these words onto the page, I am aware that I don’t know the resolution yet and I expect that it is going to come out in the stream of consciousness. We might say exercise is Virgo and “why not” is Pisces. The emotions of Pisces are asking me to become conscious. Why the sabotage? Just lazy? Why is that? I found another word for laziness, slothful, and another word for slothful, apathetic. Another word for apathetic is uninterested and it brings to mind that once I became a certain age, this has been a routine question at the doctor’s office. “Have you recently lost interest in things?”
On the list of synonyms for apathetic was bored, which was said by the one who knew doing was not the fix. I cringed when she said it. I don’t want to admit to being bored.
Okay. Pisces. Water. Deeper. Psychological. Emotional.
Pisces is associated with Key 18, in Tarot, titled, “The Moon.” Key 18 is associated with the corporeal (bodily) intelligence. The hint here is that the emotions are key to knowing what’s going on in or with your body.
Now where do I go? Why am I bored? How do I get unbored? That seems to get us back to doing. I think music. Putting on music is doing sort of, but it is not exercising.
I put on some music and played, “It’s a Wonderful World,” recorded by Louis Armstrong. That’s a feel (Moon in Pisces) good song. Next, I put on, “You brought the Sunshine,” by the Clarke sisters. It’s an upbeat gospel song. For the 4-minute duration of the song, I danced. I had to. I couldn’t escape the beat. That was a short burst of exercise, but it made a big difference.
We can use Marion Woodman, Jungian analyst, to some up this Full Moon in Pisces message. “The body is not just a thing we drag around. The body knows. Matter has intelligence. Our task is to become aware of what the body, emotions, instincts, illness, desire, fatigue, aging, and sensation are trying to reveal." I’ll be paying attention in the coming weeks and months, to see if I am integrating a healthier way of being into my life.
Practicum
If you are not feeling the best, ask your body what it is trying to tell you or what message are you giving your body? I highly recommend, Heal Your Body by Louise Hay. It lists the metaphysical causes of illness and suggests affirming thoughts to counter the illness.
