Change is Gonna Come

Come Hell or High Water, Deborah singletary, 1990

New Moon | September 9, 2018 | 17 Virgo 0’

The kingdom of God cometh not by observation. Neither shall they say, Lo, here! Or lo there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” – Luke 17:20

The kingdom will not come with a change in politics. The kingdom will not come with the noise and the clamor of the news. It will not come through new laws. Change will make its announcement in your own beingness or you shall not see it, let alone celebrate it.

You will not celebrate because of a change that can be pointed to. Change is not about conditions or people changing, but is about you changing your perspective and your vision. It is not changing yourself to be a certain kind of actor/doer. It’s about changing yourself to be the receiver of the light that shines in the darkness. (The New Moon trines Pluto in Capricorn.) Change is gonna come, but it must come as the light that shines in your own darkness.

The Tarot Key representing Virgo shows a robed figure holding a lantern with a six-rayed star as a light. It is the star of love. Love is the way. Live the life you love. Do something that makes you happy. Do something today. Do no wait.

There are seven planets in earth signs. Three of the seven, Sun, Moon and Mercury are in Virgo. Earth is manifestation, which is see it, taste it, touch it reality. How do you like it? Are you cool with the status of your today? Change will not come with moving manifestations around. What then? How do we best utilize the Virgo, Taurus, Capricorn energy?

From the point of view of Virgo, Capricorn is the fifth field of creative self-expression. Virgo might say “I creatively utilize.” It might also say, "I solve problems creatively so that which is old can be new again." The Sun in Virgo can help us get around boundaries and limitations with creative solutions. With Taurus on the ninth, Virgo’s philosophy operates based on what has value and what resonates. We might want to examine our beliefs about the connection of work and money or about the money that is in our future which we think is dependent upon work. Many of us who are in our senior years are worried that cessation of structured work means that the future is not secure. Examine what you believe about your financial future.

Practicum

Life is to be lived and followed through, not figured out. You make your best decision of intention and direction, then you live it out and take notes relative to next steps or next time. Do you have a good idea or a strong desire on the back burner or the discounted/ignored heap? You might want to retrieve it and work on it.

Virgo is notoriously indecisive. It is a mutable, meaning a changeable, flexible sign and it sees many ways things can go. Virgo often procrastinates. “I might not be able to do it good enough, so why start? What if the road I choose is wrong?” Virgo often fails to finish or put it out. It feels like if you don’t put it out there, you will save yourself the pain of rejection.

We ask and are answered, but we do not receive because we doubt. What if you were not afraid of getting it wrong? Wouldn’t you try?

The Sun and Moon are opposite Neptune in Pisces. What has your analysis caused you to believe, or not believe?

I, Pisces, noticed myself recently very excited about a project. In my early excitement I was completely confident. But somewhere along the road to making it real, I let it cool. It took me a long time to make the next step as it had been internally identified to me. Observing this, I knew I was trying to talk myself out of the effort while the trail is still in the glimpse phase. It’s easy to dismiss a glimpse. It is not matter, so it doesn’t matter. “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” – Henry Ford.

I made myself take the next step, ready or not. Now I have something to build on. Perhaps the kingdom of heaven comes in increments, and you take it and build on it as it comes.
