Responsibility vs Freedom

Art is to overcome your limitations and say something true.
I do not remember where I read this, but it sounds Aquarian because Aquarius is about truth and freedom beyond Capricorn’s limitations.
Our limitations cause us to lie because we fear what will become of us if we speak the truth. Sometimes, if the truth will make us uncomfortable, we tell a “version" of the truth. Limitations cause us to linger at the border. We dare not cross over since we do not exactly know what is on the other side.
Limitations are Capricorn. Aquarius follows Capricorn and goes where the conditioned mind fears to venture. Aquarius is the unknown and often requires a leap. This leap is pictured by Key 0 in Tarot, The Fool, where we see a jaunty youth about to step off a cliff. The planet Uranus is assigned to The Fool. The Fool is an artist. The artist experiments and innovates. “Leap and the net will appear" Julia Cameron reminds us in, The Artist’s Way,
Some may be dealing with the myth of the starving artist, therefore relegating art to a side thing which is unnecessary, even frivolous. Conventional wisdom warns if we must choose between art and money, better choose money.
However, I counsel that we must find a way to do what we love. Do not allow money to be the prerequisite; otherwise, we might find ourselves doing things for money that give us no pleasure, no time, or even money for pleasure.
We might also be dealing with the matter of letting go of some of our possessions. I am going to be moving from my tiny space in Los Angeles to my brother’s roomy, light-filled space in Long Beach while he travels extensively for his work and I can see that if I do not want to live with a bedroom full of boxes, I am going to have to get rid of some things that I originally thought I would keep.
We have Saturn in Aquarius conjunct Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus. This is duty and responsibility vs. freedom. One of my favorite quotes says that freedom is choosing your own discipline. We need Saturn. I think that we only feel Saturn as holding us back when we do not understand Saturn’s requirements and so try to escape them. Saturn in Aquarius says that the truth will set you free. It says, to thine own self be true, but know that you must value that which is beyond you and yours. Do true even when it is uncomfortable.
Free yourself by de-cluttering. Start with a small area, such as going through your sock draw or culling the "I love this!" from your refrigerator gallery and throwing away what you no longer love. Your plants will immediately perk up when you remove the dead leaves. Deleting "new" emails you've accumulated for years is like making a decision that clears your mind. Things have energy which energetically and spiritually weighs you down. When my fierce de-cluttering manifests into one or two large garbage bags, my apartment literally lifts when those bags are taken out.
