Full Moon | 13 Taurus 23’ | November 5, 2025
“Just like the tree that’s planted by the water. We shall not be moved.”
We sang this song at rallies and protests during the civil rights movement of the 60’s. Although sung in groups, it was a song of strength for each individual—a song to fortify us when we were alone, carry us forward should we start to feel inferior, and strengthen our faith should we feel hopeless. The original title of the song is, “I shall not be moved.”
Because I understand that the kingdom of spirit is embodied in my flesh, I ask Spirit the reason or purpose for the ogre that has me on guard and makes many fearful. The answer: Don’t be fooled by what your eyes see, keep your heart fixed on Me.
“I woke up this morning with my mind stayed on freedom” is another civil rights era lyric that comes to mind.” Do not be alarmed. Do not run away from center—your true source. Stay on freedom. If you are hiding in the swamp and the dogs are coming, wait in the water and breathe steady. Don’t lose your nerve.
A Full Moon in Taurus might entice some to panic about anything you want or need very badly and with great intensity—including the need to pay living expenses. Taurus is, “I have” and conversely, Scorpio is, “I desire” (I do not have).
There is some folly in the idea of “strength in numbers,” because numbers mean nothing without the strength of the individual. We often look to community, solidarity, or collective power as our source of protection and courage—but if I myself am not standing in strength, I cannot truly join that strength or draw from it. Unity begins with one: with me. If my friends or community are standing firm and I am wavering, their stability cannot replace my own. I must first be able to hold myself upright before I can stand beside others in any meaningful way. Strength in numbers, then, is only as real as the strength within each person who makes up that number.
There can’t be a king if there is not a subject. It is important that I not be submissive. If you menace, must I cringe? I am not an object to be acted upon, but a claiming agency. I am not merely a subject in someone else’s sentence. I am the speaker, the actor and the creator. I have it. I possess it. I am at one with Divine Presence. I feel it. There is only one. There is no other.
Practicum
When you feel threatened, take a deep breath and remind yourself of your divine allegiance. Calm yourself. Ground yourself by an affirmation such as The Lord, my God, is One. Who shall I fear?
