2012 Art Workshops

The Red Shoes

Sunday, April 22, 2012
1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Red Shoes remind us that we have a responsibility to be true to ourselves and true to our dreams. In this workshop, we create red shoes to help motivate us beyond fantasy so that we take positive steps toward living a self-designed life.

Workshop concludes with a ceremony incorporating your shoes. You return home with your own symbol for power and suggestions for using The Red Shoes as symbolic power.

Bring a pair of inexpensive white, light colored, or any colored shoes (pleather or leather — no fabric, please) in your own size. Your $40 investment will include an enticing array of art materials to transform your old shoes.

$39 includes materials

The Word Wand: Do Something About Negative Thinking

Saturday, May 27, 2012
2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Although negative thinking is seductive, it’s undermining and defeatist! Negative thinking inhibits the growth of creative ideas and solutions. The Word Wand workshop helps us develop practices that transform negative thinking into healthy thoughts that help us live the life we love. You go home with your word wand and a handout with suggestions for using your Word Wand. The workshop concludes with a ceremony incorporating your wand.
