Do No Harm

Full Moon
March 8, 2012
18 Virgo 13’

I open my Internet page to see a man grimaced in hatred, evoking for me the face of the image of Bull Connor standing on the schoolhouse steps to bar the integration of Alabama schools. I could easily spew venom, if only for a minute. I could hurl on him for what appears to be another attempt to discredit President Obama’s U.S. citizenship.

But a voice within admonishes me to love instead of hate him. Hate does not help. I am told that God loves him and that same God loves me even as I sometimes think myself imperfect and unworthy.

I am told that if that man felt God’s presence, he would not have the need to put his energy and drive into undermining Obama’s presidency. If I shovel some hate at his image, it will not help him to know his divinity, because if he knew it, he would calm down and perhaps pursue something that empowered him to give of his best self.

This doesn’t mean that I would have him over for tea. It means that I should simply do no harm and that this would be a form of mercy on me. Words help or harm at a distance. I am told that if I don’t know how to love him, I should do nothing except leave him to God.

And besides, I’d have to be the vessel for the venom. And that would be poison for me. I am told that love is apportioned to all equally. Everybody gets 100%. It is not distributed according to good deeds and right answers, so you need not disqualify yourself from God’s blessings because you see your faults and flaws and fear that they will unravel you, even kill you some day.

I am told that the problem any of us have in being receptive to the inherent good of the Universe, is that we don’t perceive it or believe it in our blood and bones and being. The anger I direct at someone else in condemnation of them is the objectification of the mote that it is my own eye.

And it keeps me from dealing with my own stuff. I cast off what is really bugging me about me and let someone out there bug me. Instead of taking myself in hand and to task, I get preoccupied with what someone else is doing.

We ought to not engage in rabid, visceral condemnation, no matter how deserved it may seem to be. It poisons the self as well as the intended.

Virgo is the sign of health and health is a form of integration, of wholeness and integrity. When one is too polarized, one is out of balance and living on the circumference.

When the enemy occupies too much of your time, you may not know that you are keeping the attention off of yourself. Minding your own business is where the power is, where the changes are made. We can’t fix what is wrong with the world by fixing the world. But we must still be mindful of it, respectful of it and able to keep it in perspective.

The Sun is in Pisces, sign of the Corporeal Intelligence— the Intelligence of the body. This suggests that the intelligence of the body is emotional. We are mistaken when we think that emotional is different from mental. The only difference is that the emotions are no longer subject to reason. But they are the result of the way we have reasoned and the ideas that we have. Emotions are ideas that have a life of their own for good or ill.

Perhaps it would be best for us to take our energy off of the criticism of others and direct it into some daring activity of our own.
We have a grand trine in earth signs, meaning that each of the three earth signs is occupied by a planet. For this full Moon, Venus and Jupiter in Taurus trine Mars in Virgo trine Pluto in Capricorn.

This offers a nice flow between money, work and career. However, Uranus, Vesta, and Mercury in Aries are squaring Pluto and we have to stare down and rise above intimidating worldly circumstances in order to advance our plans. It is believed that grand trines of themselves can keep things status quo.

We could be glad for the square shaking things up. I read of a woman who said, “I scare myself to death every day. If you are not doing that, what’s the fun?” This is reported to be a common trait of women who earn six-figures. They feel the fear and do it anyway. They do what they have never done before. They do not fear others saying no. They would not say no to themselves. Eleanor Roosevelt suggests, “Do one thing that scares you every day.” Step out there. Take a chance. Take a risk. Challenge the evil ones by fighting to overcome your own inertia and self doubt so that you may cover the distance between the life you have and the life you want in no time.

No time implies the 4th Dimension. The 4th dimension lies within. Neptune in Pisces facilitates our living from the Limitless in the place which-is-not. It is not the material, not subject to appearances. In other words, no matter how bad it looks, stand your inner holy ground.  Visualize a cross. The extremes of space are but a short distance from each other and the center. East meets west. North meets South, Above meets below—not on the circumference, but at the center of life, and the more centered you are, the less disturbed you are by appearances, and the quicker you close the gap between can and can’t. Have and have not, won’t and will.

Hold your own. Be more resilient. Feel the fear and do it anyway—this is the path of Initiation. You must be tested in the fires. Scare yourself into making a decent attempt at shaking things up so that you can be excited by life, so that you can feel it in your feet and in your bones and summon it to do battle with whatever inner demons you may have.

I really needed to read your message today…almost went there myself with someone that I finally realized is too off centered to rationalize with. It was tempting, but then I remembered the Full Moon in Virgo and did what “Issie” would always tell the Virgos in our group…Mind your business” or “never mind dear”. We also learned that sometimes an angry remark is a cry for help. That we should look beyond the caustic words to find the truth. So I shook it off, took a deep breath and sent the person love and Light. “if she knew better, she’d do better” another “Issie” truth. We can only operate from the level of consciousness that we have in any given moment. The decision to stay in the Higher Frequencies of Love and Compassion, helped to make my day a happy and successful one. Thanks for the reminder, you always give good advice. Love & Light, Ayesha

  3. As always, another beautiful and inspiration post. I think it’s your birthday soon, so I’m sending wishes for a wonderful year your way, Miz Inez!

  4. I have too much to do to be focusing on someone who doesn’t fit into my stuff. Love your newsletter! Now, let’s get back to focusing on six-figures.

  5. Dig …I should do nothing except leave that person to God!

Will always try to remember to: “Take a chance! Take a risk! Challenge the evil ones by fighting to overcome your own inertia and self doubt so that you may cover the distance between the life you have and the life you want IN NO TIME!” ** Roger That, Inez! **

OMG! The best one yet. This hits home.

  7. Thank you for your remark on tending to your own business. It’s one of the greatest challenges for humankind. It’s seems that it is so much easier to take the attention off of ourselves and put the blame and focus on the other(s) for what ails us and the world. Minding one’s own business is a lifetime challenge, and it’s good for us to get a reminder every once in a while. Thank you.

Great and peaceful are these words Inez. They deconstruct all the angst and fear that I have been undergoing for a while. A breath of fresh air. A meditation and a balm. Thank you most graciously again and again!

I held back from reading this one Ms. Inez… Full Moon in Virgo. My first condemner in life (this life) was an aunt, she’ll be “Celestine” in my memoirs, she’s a triple Virgo: Sun, Moon, & Ascendent. She was Highly Critical!…of others but NEVER herself. In fact, she couldn’t handle the slightest of negative critiques. Being twice my elder I took what she said for truth–gospel Truth! She was, ironically, the first to introduce (re-introduce) me to astrology in this life. And for that I am thankful. On the flipside, she was also the first one to put-me-on to the nature of a “catty” female.

Unconsciously, I must have been expected ‘them’ to show up, in full-fledge catty glory, and over the years, they did! Different faces, same script, and they all…they all…they all…seem to appear as Celestine-clones. I thank her for the dutiful drummed in my head, my little girl head, the feline forecast, but… I can’t help but wonder how it would have been had I not, consciously & unconsciously ‘expected’ that type of behavior from my fellow Virgos…the “feminine symbol” is Virgo, after all. Come to think about it, don’t Virgo rule “cats” too? Smiles…
