"In every traditional culture, the heart is considered to be the center of the self, not the brain. The heart contains an intelligence. The heart is not just gooey emotion. The heart is smart. If the heart is sending a stressful or negative emotional message or pattern, it literally inhibits our brain. We can't think clearly."
—Rollin McCraty
Think of clarity as transparency—the ability for light to pass through. The symbol for Mercury, thinking, can be seen as Venus, imagination, crowned by the crescent Moon, emotions. The Moon is able to transmit the light of the Sun to the image-generating Venus. The result is the ability to create beauty and to resolve by love.
With the recent New Moon conjunct Pluto in Capricorn, chances are that you went through some stressful negative emotions. And chances are your thinking was obscured. In that mode, you most likely did not bring resolution to your problem. You may even have been destructive, blinded to any other choice because the heart's messages to the brain were blocked, and you needed to defend the perceived assault to your beingness.
This Full Moon gives the opportunity to do some shaping of our world. It is the world (Capricorn) made flesh (Cancer). Cancer is the presence of feeling in the body. With peace, we can bring unity about. With distress that is not being actively managed, we can only thrash about, lash out, languish in depression, or withdraw in fear.
Cancer has to do with the security of the familiar, including family. During this Full Moon the human family becomes important. The Protester (Time's person of the Year) has reminded us that we are all in this together. There is no way that 99% cannot be heard unless we are persuaded that we cannot be heard.
When you feel like a victim, you think like a victim. A victim's stressful and frustrated thoughts cause brain block. Considering ourselves victims really disempowers us. We feel at a disadvantage. We think at a disadvantage. The victim perpetually fights and waits. What if we recognized that we didn't have to fight or wait? We might not have to occupy the streets and financial houses. We might not have to beg and fight for release. "The basis of nature is cooperation and democracy. It's in our DNA." — Thom Hartman.
Dean Radin of the Institute of Noetic Studies says that when mass mind becomes highly focused, something about the physical universe changes. According to theories such as "The Hundreth Monkey," when a critical number of people are thinking in a certain way, evolution and change becomes possible. You are the thinker that will help change the critical mass in a positive direction. Watch the sea that your thoughts swim in. You might be on high alert. You might even be afraid. But, monitor your thoughts so that you are not focused on and atrtacting what you don't want instead of what you want.
Try listening to your heart. Remember that crisis, anger, hate and fear cause your heart to block your brain. Wallace Wattles says we have to operate from the creative, not the competitive mind in order to access the wealth that is ours for the taking and the making.
Instead of being disillusioned when lovers and friends disappoint, determine to be the change you seek.
