Full Moon
August 24, 2010
1 Pisces 25’

What I think within myself and what I say to myself is what determines the life I experience, the health I express, the prosperity I attract
to myself, the circumstances that I have to meet. —Eric Butterworth

When the Moon is Full, that which is real and true is often inescapable and uncontrollable as far as keeping a lid on is concerned. The Full Moon is always a mirror, a full reflection of what is. That which appears in the mirror of your life is bright and clear, even if it’s crying time. In tarot, the card that is called the Moon is actually assigned to Pisces. The Moon key, key 18 is also attributed to the corporeal or bodily intelligence. The body is where the mind and the emotions meet. We call it mind over matter. Mind directs and overcomes, but it does not override. In other words, the body does not lie. Your secret thoughts and feelings are not secret to the body.

This is a time to listen to your body and pay attention to your health. Heed its early warnings and the Full Moon won’t bring you an emotional breakdown. Put yourself on bed rest or recreation. Change your eating habits. Virgo can bring out a touch of hypochondria. If you have a headache and you think brain tumor go to the doctor and find out what it’s not!

The Full Moon is often the time when you just can’t take it anymore or you just can’t do it anymore because you can’t deny it or hide it anymore. Welcome and embrace the crises of this Full Moon. Let what is ready to die, die. Let what must change, change. Prune. Cut away the dead stuff.

I have observed that the leaf of a plant will yellow, giving you a sign that the plant needs attention. It is as if one leaf sacrifices so that the rest of the plant will live. Ignore the warning of one yellow leaf and you will soon have many brown leaves. Too many brown leaves seem to discourage a plant. Even if you water and don’t prune the brown leaves, the plant will lose its vitality. As soon as you prune the brown leaves and give the plant what it needs, the rest of the plant will perk up and thrive and there will not be a continued browning unless you persist in neglect.

The Moon rules constant change, the difference that is made by a day or an hour. Be assured that the changes brought by this Full Moon (though they might be incremental and small) are in concert and harmony with the full scope of the matter. Just as water, drop by drop, can over time wear a hole in a rock, you turn a corner and bam, a whole new world. Who knew?
You have to pick yourself up and dust yourself off and face some things that will give tour life the new face you want it to have.

You will say: I am going to grow. I am going to make these difficult changes and choices. I am going to listen to the messages of my body and the body of work that is my life. I am going to be more relatable because I am going to relate to me. I am going to be peaceful unto myself, patient, loving and encouraging. I am going to step back and be objective and serious. I am going to step it up with energy, drive, and focus. I am going to be resilient. I am not going to tire of the swim when a few more strokes will get me to the shore.

I am not going to be blown away by pressure. I am not going to allow doubters to be the determiners of my destiny because they only mirror my own reticence. I am going to have my own back. I am going to step out and keep stepping, one foot in front of the other, one step at a time. I am going to have faith in myself and I won’t lose it if I seem to fail.

This is a time to be of good will toward you. This is a time when you can stand the pressure and do the hard thing. This is the time when no means next!
