Persist

Full Moon
November 10, 2011
18 Taurus 5’

I desire. I want, wish, crave, yearn, aspire  Should I be unabashed, or should I wear a shield over my longing? Shall I pursue? Shall I go all out for it, strive for it, drive for it, require it, implore, or beg it?

Dare I even ask? What will come of me if I am denied? Will I be crushed? Will I wish myself away or will I rally?

I could play it safe and deny and hide these feelings and wants.
Or I should I eye the goal from inside, peeking out from behind the curtains, a secreted spectator, and not dare to strike out to make it mine.

There is more fire in this chart than water. The fire packs will and willingness to risk. Why not go for it and go for it big and go for it all?

I am good enough. It doesn’t matter who rejected me or how many times they did. What matters is what I tell myself. I’ve got to make some noise for myself, jump up and pump by own fist— shake my own hips and raise my own energy and listen to the voice that says “persist, stand strong, work in your own behalf.” I take God as my business partner. I am worthy of being partnered by the very best.

Every living thing must continually seek for the enlargement of its life
, because life, in the mere act of living, must increase itself. A seed, dropped into the ground, springs into activity, and in the act of living produces a hundred more seeds; life, by living, multiplies itself. It is forever becoming more. It must do so, if it continues to be at all. —Wallace Wattles

Let us seek for the enlargement of our lives. First thing is to be optimistic. Don’t let the Full Moon in Scorpio and economic bad news pull you over to the dark side. The Full Moon chart puts this urge to seek enlargement in the sixth house of work, health and well-being. There is an opportunity to expand in the area of work and service. If you need a job, don’t worry about the whole economy. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, national unemployment was 9% in October 2011. Focus on the 91%.

I moved to California in 1979 while the state was in the midst of a housing shortage. I didn’t know this until I got here and when people found out that we were looking for a place to live, they constantly reminded us of this fact. I mostly ignored this information. I reasoned that I did not have to solve the housing shortage for the whole state. I just had to find housing for me and my family. I didn’t let the statistics affect me mentally, or I would not have gone looking. As a matter of fact, looking was difficult because we did not have a car or know the Los Angeles neighborhoods.. One day I had been looking through the paper with a knot of frustration in my stomach. I simply closed the paper thinking there must be an easier way.

The next day we were driving somewhere with a friend and we saw a huge sign on a balcony above just as we exited the freeway. The friend brought us back the next day to see if we could find that apartment. We did. I even negotiated a lower rent! The place was ours!

If we look deeper into the jobs issue, we might find that there is an opportunity hidden in the crisis. Many people have been drawn to entrepreneurial activity and are doing what they love on their own terms because of the crisis.

This full moon also gives us the opportunity to see the connection between mind and body and make adjustments that will lead toward good health. An excellent little book on the subject is Louise Hay’s Heal Your Body in which she discusses the non-physical causes of illness. Hay suggests training the mind toward healthy thinking in whatever area of concern may be manifesting in an affliction. Right now many ailments are related to our need for movement, especially movement in the direction of our dreams.

Simply, we need to get out of the house. We need to profess what we want to do that will make our hearts sing. Remember that the root of profession is profess, which means to recognize, allow and own up to what we want to do with our lives.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that the only important things you do are the things for which you get paid. If you love it, find a way to do it. Doing it pays the heart. When the heart is receiving its due, it pumps inspiration, motivation, joy, and well being.

Be aware of your energy toward money.
Recently I was making some changes in my on line banking and I noticed how tight and tense I was. This was simply bad habit on my part. I gave myself the command to relax, and I did.

Our emotional resiliency is tested at this full moon. Emotional resiliency is fundamental for economic success. The person who is unemployed and discouraged is not likely to keep looking. The person who is not discouraged, keeps her mind and heart open for opportunity. She doesn’t give up. She keeps on pressing and keeps on looking. She persists.

  1. Thanks again, Sister Inez. The wisdom of your words is timely as it reminds and reenforces what’s known but often forgotten.

  2. Sandra Hatchett says:

You are a master communicator. I never thought about paying my heart. The benefits are certainly exactly what I need. It looks like the strongest nation in the world is really determination. Thank you for being an outstanding mentor; every home should have one! I am so blessed to know you.
