Everyone is both bound and free. We want to have freedom, independence, and self respect, however, we also want to enjoy emotional connection and the safety of having someone to come home to. To have freedom, you choose your own discipline. The choice is made by intense listening and observing so that the way is discerned. This is the mode of the seeker. We are marrying Cancer and Capricorn, emotional resiliency and disciplined response. Capricorn depends on experience achieved via repetition over time. You become better at having reigns on your response so that you are not dissolving, falling apart, leaking your good fortune, and avoiding instead of being present.

The North Node in Capricorn suggests that now is the time to do that which is difficult to do. It means choosing the challenge. It means engaging and investing in your life so that you are not weak in the reigns. You click at and spur your horses on so that they stay on course. You don’t languor, lag and lack. This would be giving over to the South Node and the path of least resistance.

The North Node is letting go of old non-productive ways of responding to things. You let go of bad habits by embracing and enacting a deliberate response, vote, or voice. How should it go? What do you want? What do you see? What will you do? What part will you play?

Can you keep your eye on the prize of unlimited growth? And what will you say? What will you assert? You vote with your voice. Are you making sounds that get things moving and more perfect? Are you making the sounds of healing the wounds and the breaches? Are you taking responsibility for how you feel? Are you honoring your feelings?

Do you know that compassion is the solid?  Compassion is the feeling, the root of being. Compassion is, at the least, respectful, even if that respect bars the door and keeps the distance. If we want to do practical things (earth), then our feelings (Cancer), will meld with our values (Taurus) and our work and service and giving (Virgo). Our feelings are the fluid of our own body. Are we admitting the feelings that make for health or are we being poisoned by fear, anger, and hatred? (Cancer is in the middle of a sextile to Taurus and a sextile to Virgo.

If you don’t feel good, change it. Breathe consciously. Breathe yourself into quiet, stillness, peace, and meditation. It is peace that passes understanding into awareness and existence. Throw yourself a 30-second party in your head. See yourself shaking your groove thing. Better still, if you can put on some music and dance your release, do that. Feel good in order to refresh and maintain your health. Bar bad feelings. They lead to poor choices or no choices.

Don’t dissolve; draw, as in making something move toward you. Invite. Charm. Entice.  Draw by feeling good, which is attractive and dynamic. The person who feels good selects good and has no qualms about sending riff-raff along its merry way. Be a light that the dark can’t approach or encroach upon. Expect good. Expect health and wealth. Expect answers. Expect a way. Expect a bridge. Expect safe passage and fortuitous angelic aid along the way. Expect to do well. Expect to be understood and accepted and loved. Know that you are beloved.

Know that no one is doing more damage to you than you do to yourself. No one is talking as bad about you as you may be talking about yourself. Cease and desist on the hyper self-scrutiny. Lighten up.

The chart tone of this New Moon is Capricorn, and Saturn is in the last degree of Virgo before entering Libra for the next two years. Learn to not accept current defeat as ultimate defeat. Did you fall short of the prize? Don’t quit. Scrutinize the situation for the success in the failure. Draw a line through plan A and go for plan B. See what didn’t work to get an idea of what you might do different.
