Tell A Happy Story
Full Moon

Let’s retrace the path of the Sun a bit through the last two signs beginning with the first sign, Aries. To be, or not to be? Aries rules the first house, the sign of spring and new beginnings, new eyes, new sight, new vision. We function from our architect self—our planner, parent, overseer self. Everyone has Aries somewhere. Everyone has this aspect of themselves. When the Sun goes through Aries, our plan, or our responsibility to plan is highlighted. We plan for the future that depends on the next sign—Taurus.
The Sun’s foray through Taurus taught us something about our stewardship of the talents, abilities, and resources at our disposal. Hopefully our self esteem was heightened when the sun was in Taurus, and our desire to maximize our resources and do something with that which is given us as well as that which we work for. We decided to listen to our inner teacher, and rise to the challenge presented by the heart. The heart is not what tells us to run off all goofy-like. More likely, the heart challenges us to use our love where it is not so pleasantly easy, as well as in the company of whoever or whatever gives us joy.
Venus rules Taurus. Be aware of the voice of the thought in your ear and what you picture as a result of what you hear. Moon is exalted in Taurus. Emotions and memories reach their highest form of expression in Taurus. Eckhart Tolle says, “You cannot be unhappy without an unhappy story.” Conversely, you cannot be happy without a happy story. Do you want to keep repeating the unhappy story, and accumulating more unhappy stories to prove the depth of your deprivation and sadness? Or do you want to tell yourself the happy story? Do you want to see the good that is present? If you can’t see it, will you use Venus to imagine it?
For example, take this story: “I lost my job. I have become a statistic of the ‘economy.’” But perhaps there is another hidden story here. Perhaps there is an opportunity. Perhaps instead of resisting the apparent outcome, I say “Thank you Universe for I know you give me but good. I know that you have my back. I know that Thou lovest me. I can’t wait to see the mysterious and beautiful gift you are unfolding before me.”
In Taurus, we build by succeeding, that is taking the steps that fortify the vision of Aries. In Taurus we build. We add steps. Make sure you build on the happy story. Unless you are invested in having an excuse not to make the best of your talents, abilities and gifts, choose the happy story.
Now we have come to where we are today—Sun in Gemini. In Gemini you are ready to make some adjustments and you check back in with the planner (Aries) to assess. In Gemini you might alter the plans, or make additional or new plans. Aries and Gemini get along because they are both interested in forwarding things, in moving situations along in the most efficient manner in the shortest necessary time (projective/masculine). They confer over Taurus, which is between them. Gemini asks Aries, is this happening according to plan? Do I need to change any ideas in order to fulfill the plan better? What have we here in Taurus? Is this what your eyes wanted? Are we on track?
Gemini is a mutable, changeable, sign. It is able to make adjustments in the design by making up the mind. This stage of your year is to think about things, and allow the crystal clarity to penetrate. The air of Gemini is there to wear and shape the rock—the ground of being that is your pearl of great price.
The Moon in Sagittarius reflects upon our growth and where we are going and whether we are going over, under, around or through any perceived obstruction. “The enemies of a man are of his own house,” Jesus said. This doesn’t refer to the enemy with whom you might be sharing a bed or an enemy who is in the next room. Jesus is really talking about the Temple that you are, and about what goes on between the temples of your head and the interior of your heart.
You are the storyteller. Is the plot is too thick and murky? Are there just two many enemies and our superhero is acting as if she is carrying kryptonite in her hip pocket, and in a locket that she never removes from her neck, she is carrying relics of the long-gone one who done her wrong? Tell her to stand up and meet the new sheriff in town: Uranus in Aries. Come to know the power you have as the author.
Is there something that you greatly desire? Make up a story of what it feels like when you get there, how happy you are, how relieved that your search has ended, so blissfully blessed, you can scream joy. You are so full. You remember those mountains that you climbed, those scared dark places you used to be, but no more. Now you are in this whole new world and you know you are there because you had the courage to step through the door and inhabit this world in your mind instead of inhabiting the world of not enough. Instead of dumping the responsibility on your partner or any other, see yourself as the partner, the one who needs to creatively fulfill her end, in full consideration of the other, but not waiting for the other or expecting the other.
