Show Me the Money

Full Moon
April 28, 2010
8 Scorpio 7’

Show me the money. Show me the goods. Show me what’s in it for me. Taurus is result-oriented. We are primarily talking to and about ourselves. We want to know, experience, and have. We want to confidently possess.

While we are accustomed to evaluating in terms of that which is available to our senses, we forget that each sense has an inner or intelligent component. There is the eye of the poet and the eye of the senses. There is the hearing of the outer ear, and there is the inner hearing. What is heard? Mind chatter? Fearful mind? Logic mind? Guardian angel? Taurus is the inner voice, the inner tuition or teaching, the guidance center that is the heard word of guiding thoughts.

I have satisfied myself that we all have this Voice and that it speaks in words and pictures. Sometimes the words aren’t exactly words. Sometimes they are flashes of pictures. Observe yourself sometimes studying something in your mind. See if you can see the pictures that are not pictures, though they show you something. I have also satisfied myself that we are all “Adam,” and the dilemma he had with disobeying the voice and blaming it on “Eve” is an allegory about the misery that we live in because we diss the inner voice, the inner picture.  We don’t know what we are doing, what we wrought, but some of the reason that we struggle internally is that we have a relationship to a central anchoring thing, but sometimes we know it not. We are experimenting, seeing what we can get away with. We are trying to see who’s Who? Who’s God? Is God a thing or is God everything?

This is not about judgment, not about a scarlet letter for your chest or for your psyche. It is not about guilt. It is about living your best life, your funnest, richest life, your delightfully naughty life, your sometimes scary, but oh so adventurous and awfully mysterious life.

When Taurus squares Leo, thought must square with will. This is not a problem unless we secretly think we actually lack the talent or ability to bring to fruition the desires that we think about. When this happens, we either give up and do not apply our will to our desire, our solar purpose or we try to force the thing we are afraid can not or will not be.

Taurus square Leo connects inner value and love, where one may secretly feel oneself to be unloved or unlovable. When we tick off our assets they are lacking. Here, too, we may give up on ourselves and on being with the object of our affection.

Taurus square Leo shows a conflict we might have with ourselves. It is the conflict between what is valuable, important and true to our own close-as-nature voice. It is a conflict between what we “hear,” including that we hear without words, and that which we “will”ingly carry out— or willfully twist or disregard. No judgment is intended, nothing to make us feel bad, only something for our consideration with which we might actually gain and not lose.

I am talking about Taurus because the Sun is in Taurus, and somewhere on a map of 12 houses, your personal Taurus is being illuminated by the Sun. The Full Moon is always in relationship to the Sun by opposition. The subconscious shines brightest when she is exactly opposite the Sun. But it is only a hemisphere that is illuminated. The Moon still has her dark side. Sometimes we experience the Full Moon as the unleashing of our own dark side, or someone else’s. All hell can break loose at a Full Moon as we sometimes get filled to the rim and become fed up. We lose it, or we give ourselves permission to go a little crazy in order to make our point or get our way. But I am here to tell you that at a Full Moon you lose yourself in order to find yourself and that’s all!

And should you be fortunate enough to be emotionally intelligent at this or any other Moon, you are able to make something bright out of it. Sometimes with the Moon shift happens that is (seemingly) out of our control. We did not have a hand in it. It was not what we wanted or expected. But as Jung says, “I am not what happens to me. I am what I choose to become.” The Moon is what “happens” and it is our memory of what happened. With Moon in Scorpio we sometimes hang on to stuff, crying our sob story over it, nursing our stuckness or our excuses. And we might be mad about it, broken/shattered about it, or fractured by it. But we might also be angry enough to quit being angry, quit being stuck, quit our excuses and make some effort to get on with it and to make something of it. We could decide to decide and get off the fence of fear and ambiguity. GO FOR IT! Have a little fun! Dare a little. Tether yourself to that which is good and merciful and wade out into the waters.

What you desire is really your acceptance of the opportunity.  Your actions (Mars) have to square with your desire, be geared toward and respectful of your desires, especially the way you act upon yourself. The Moon being full is a tah-dah! situation. Here it is. The light shines in the darkness. Make good with it. Mine your golden self.

Imagination informs will. To imagine is to consider new combinations. Imagination is ruled by Venus, so consider your combinations in love and in harmony with whatever you are thinking about or dealing with.  Combine the Moon (what happens) with Venus (love and harmony) and you get  Mercury (choices).
