The Dream that Will Not Fail

“You do better with the big goals.”
As my sister, mentor, champion, soul companion and friend, Deborah knows something about this. We have worked together weekly for years in a goal-accountability process we call Mothermind.
My agreement and grasp were instant. With the small goals, I think I have to do it. With big goals I know I need divine intervention. I can fail myself at the simplest tasks, especially if I do not do them, but the divine never fails when I am aligned with it and willing to follow its direction.
What I mean by big goals would be anything that seems to be beyond your experience and know-how. But perhaps with the goals comes fear. The goal or dream is outside of the box and outside of your comfort zone. You want to make its acquaintance, but there is no ease of familiarity. What you dream of being, doing, or having, might be a whole new world, and how would you handle a whole new world? What if you can’t manage it or keep it alive? What if you only get a taste of it and then lose it? What if you thought you wanted it, but was mistaken? What if there is no turning back? Will you be stranded, and what then? Maybe you can map out a route that you hope will take you there, but the details are foggy because you are only imagining. Perhaps someone is showing and telling you the steps, but you are mysteriously frozen. Or maybe you have no idea about how to proceed at all, but something in your soul says, “This is what I want.”
Blessed are you if you have a goal or a dream that quickens you. Blessed if your life and vitality put you in a frame of mind that sees opportunity and does not hesitate to grab it. You are blessed if you are not afraid to falter. To falter is not to die. Clumsiness can give way to grace.
Some of us do not even know what we dream because we are trying to dream the dream that will not fail. The heart is vital to the dreamer. The mind serves the heart. If the heart does not select and support that which will give your life meaning, then courage might not ensue.
This Sun in Leo wants us to understand how important it is to be optimistic. Optimism heals disillusion. Optimism sees problems as opportunities in work clothes. Optimism keeps you going. Optimism permits obstacles and puzzles en route. Optimism does not refuse to play the game once the going gets tough. Optimism is self-forgiving. It doesn’t crash and burn and space out when it meets a bump in the road.
Optimism may be said to be Jupiter. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, meaning it performs extremely well in the sign that represents active emotions, especially the ones we learned at home, and frankly, the ones we teach at home. Remember that your family gets the benefit or fallout of your emotions. If your habit mind is full of limiting and constricting emotions that you cannot or do not get the best of and insecurities rule your chest and put cement around your heart, your lack of optimism could infect another. Jupiter is said to be in fall (challenged) in Capricorn sign of parent and rule-giver and opposite Cancer, sign of family and emotions. As the ruler of your family, you lead by example. If fear and insecurity rules your life, guess how you act at home? The fear will probably look like anger and dissatisfaction. Guess where you act out that which you deny or do not see about yourself? At home the show you have to put on for the world is dropped. At home you let down (though you might wear masks in your family too).
The bottom line is that your habits show. And they show in your whole life. Life is always holding up a mirror, and some of us do not see beauty or how it might be arranged. Not just outward beauty, but sanctuary.
You can do it.
Whatever you need to do to give your life meaning, you can do it. Find a way to do it today in some small way, unless this Full Moon compels you to act big now. Find a way to do something without money. It will teach you how to do your life in balance and so that will not think money is an obstacle when it is not.
Some small ways to act upon your dream would be to make a collage that reflects the images of your hearts desire, is instructions for your subconscious, and keeps you focused on the prize. Write a page if you want to be a writer. Volunteer it. Give it away. Learn a new song all the way through and sing it in the shower. Tell someone that you love him or her. Make a plan. Make a picture in your mind’s eye. Commit to it by writing it down.
In astrology we say that the sign Leo is self-expression and the ego. Neither self-expression or ego is really personal or your luxury to deny. Your self-expression is your divine expression. It is where the universe needs you. It is a drive that you either nourish or deny. But it is not really personal, any more than the Sun in Cancer is a different Sun from the Sun in Leo. The Sun does not die when the holder of a Sun sign dies. But when you deny who you are and what you feel and want and need, you are denying the Divine in you. You are denying your own being and the Solar Wisdom that planted you upon the earth with a purpose.
The Moon in Aquarius is like an open veil. It is showing you how you really think and how you really feel. You see the connection between your mind and your emotions. You choose to think and speak precisely as you notice the influence of your mind upon your health. You are not being sentimental when you need to be sensible. You are going to put a little courage behind your convictions. It doesn’t matter if you fail, if you fall flat, flat, flat because that flatness is a powerful position from which to listen for Guidance.

Well this was written for[from] me i am sure. my rising conjuncts the aquarius aspect and i’m leo sun born yesterday (LOL) on a monday too. square my sun at 11degrees in the 5th or 6th can’t recall which, but the working at self expression and “what if there’s no turning back” on the dream truly resonate. thanks once again for seeing so clearly and saying so lucidly…”flatness IS a powerful position from which to listen for Guidance.” Once again, i bow down.
