Love is the marriage of opposites that are complimentary. Love is the balancing of interests. It is collaboration. It is mutual respect and desire to do no harm. There is a natural justice in love. Love knows the truth and the solution. Love clears the air. Love puts deep-seated feelings out in the open, at least between the two of you and God the Healer. This naturally produces peace and trust. We are not two minds or dueling minds. We are of one mind, even if we are having our dueling moments. We hear the same music. Right now it’s salsa or tangle.
Blessed are we if we can dance our tangle. Let us struggle together, lovers in a heat, dancing to a beat, nuancing, ar-tic-u-lat-ing.
Let us open the door and gasp at the new world.
Remember that at our new and full moons, we are always implying the moon’s relationship to the sun—incorruptible silver mirroring incorruptible gold. We humans have strayed from the path of Love, and blame it on the devil, the snake, the economy, the neighbor, or the friend. Therefore we cannot find balance in our differences. We cannot get on the same page. We have a clash in values and interests. We defend the liberties we take with love, which is Venus, Nature, and then we wonder why we are out of balance and out of harmony with each other and our world. At a full moon, the moon is always opposite the sun. Opposites attract in passion, and opposites combat in conflict.
Either is useful if we are about the business of making the third thing that cannot be made with hands. The third thing is made by the interaction of the opposites under the wisdom of that which unites them. The third thing can make or break the coupling.
The nodes are square Mars conjunct Venus in the sign of values and valuables. They are also at zero degrees Aquarius and zero degrees of Leo. Moving backward, they are going to move into the last degree of Capricorn and our pointers will be different. Fade to black. Pause a moment. Scene will change.
Life is lived from within, out. Within is Rumi’s field beyond right-doing and wrong-doing. We shall need to meet there. We always need to meet there, but it shall become more evident. You have to know your friends from your enemies or your sight and sense will fail and you will flail about punching the darkness, spinning yourself into faint and fury.
The Lord, thy God, is one. The Devil’s name is Legion (many). Usually, you don’t have or really need many friends. If you have many friends—true friends—it is because they know you have allegiance to One, to unity, to fairness and grace. Then you become as a touchstone because your friends know you deliver from your center, your core, and as such you respect them at their core and center.
And then shall nothing come to harm a hair on your head, because you hold to do no harm, and because your God is one and you just don’t have to worry about the myriad. You can enjoy the gift of life and its diversity, even its conflict and challenge, knowing that you have an anchor within. This inner place becomes your parlor. You entertain guests there for engaging conversation that puts you in a building mode. You confer. You have a meaningful task. You know that good prevails.
