We think of life as a series of steps—of how-to’s. But life is more about being than doing. Someone can show you the steps, but if you don’t have the mettle, you cannot follow. If you don’t have the understanding, you can’t execute or carry out. “You just move this piece over there,” we are told. That is what they did, as far as they can see. “I just did that and boom, it happened.” They mean well, but might be unaware of the invisible force that moved them.
If you are not in possession of the essence, or guts or heart of the matter, simple as it might be, you cannot do the step at all, or you cannot do it effectively.
Life is not about the surface, not about the appearances, not about fixing a thing “out there” at all.
Life is like a game that you play with yourself, because it looks to you that if a certain condition was met externally, you could proceed. You declare that there is an obstacle. What you don’t know is that your declaration is the creation. Let there be . . . Telling the story of how it is to you, lets it be the story you tell.
You create your story, I create my story, and we move together and touch by virtue of our agreement. We live together in parallel universes—our lives meeting or not meeting. Meeting in concord or in discord.
We are all writing this story called, “The Economy.” We are writing our own lines, building our own reality; inhabiting different realities together.
What if we could say to ourselves, “It is only money.” Yes. I was counting on having it for later and now that I have less of it, I can drop my writing instrument in a moment of panic, or I can hold my pen steady, and let this be a dramatic portion of the story where the suspense is heightened and a sense of danger lurks, but that is precisely what makes the story more interesting, compelling or memorable. We, the authors, are not sure of what we are going to create next, but we let our imaginations soar unfettered.
Writing/creating is a “letting” process. The author/creator is a receiving station. We record what we hear from the inner, higher regions and let the story unfold through us. To some we may look like the originators, but we know that we are the receivers.
Let there be light in our economic night is what I choose to write. The whole world is in good hands, the strong hands of spirit, though we may know it not. What else is there to do, surrender to the chaos? No. Let’s transcend chaos. How you are going to make it, isn’t your job. Your job is to affirm that you are making it. I will survive. I will transcend. I will thrive.
No change, except transcendent change. I am in the hands of a great intelligence. If it’s really bad, it is so that something really good can come. I surrender to that good now.
It’s only money. Money isn’t causing me to breathe. I am breathing. Money isn’t causing me to live. I am living. I live and breathe. I think. I create. I am resourceful. What I can do with this life is endless and limitless and it doesn’t depend on money. If money is needed, money will come, but money does not determine the viability of a thing at the time of conception.
We are limited only by our perceptions. Our image-making power is without limit. Whatever you say, you are right. Say, “Let there be light.”
