Seeing is Believing

New Moon
Solar Eclipse
August 1, 2008
9 Leo 32’

Seeing is believing. I am talking about seeing in your mind’s eye, formulating a chosen image, an image of that which is wanted. Being able to see yourself enjoying what you desire requires a certain faith or belief. Otherwise you will not even dare to form the picture. When you believe it while it is yet unseen in the world of manifestation, you will be able to see it in your mind’s eye. When we don’t believe, we won’t hope. We are somehow under the impression that we cannot bear to hope and be disappointed. So we would rather not hope.

But not hoping is believing too. It is believing in the negative, believing that disappointment is more likely than success, so we don’t dare to get our hopes up. We don’t dare to be the father, the producer, the leader, the visionary, the author or the architect. We prefer to just let life happen, taking no responsibility for it. We blame others when things don’t turn out quite right. After all, we can’t be blamed—we didn’t do anything.

Picturing an unhappy, disappointing, worse case outcome is believing in unhappiness, disappointment and frustration.

If you can make a picture of failure, you can make a picture of success.
Are you someone who frequently says, “If it’s not one thing, it’s another”? You may think that is observation, but it is declaration. It is a statement of what you believe. And it shall prove to you that you are right. Why not say, “If it’s not one gift, it’s another. If it’s not one opportunity, it’s another. If it’s not one blessing, it’s another”?

Be especially careful about your financial vocabulary. I heard some people say recently that you can’t live well in New York City unless you are an evil and rich person. In their mind’s eye, wealth is synonymous with dishonesty. Are they trying to say that their own lack of wealth means that they are pious? Is that a consolation?

The Bible says to them that has, much is given; to them that has not is taken away even that which they have. Does that seem unfair? Why would this be? Put a man with healthy energy, full of the sense of his own power on the starting line of an endeavor along with a man with unhealthy energy who was involved in his feeling of lack. Who would you entrust to carry your parcel of treasure to the finish line?

This New Moon Solar Eclipse tests our guts and gumption, our emotional fortitude. You need to believe in yourself enough to bank on yourself and invest in yourself. What is it that you want? What’s your very next step? Picture yourself there. Picture yourself at the completion of the journey or the process and in a state of fulfillment. I believe that the subconscious works backward from this. A strong picture in your mind is an inevitability, a done deal. Say it’s a done deal even if you don’t know how it will happen. Picturing yourself at the end—prize in hand already will help you step over encumbrances and obstacles. As things are working backward from the done deal, obstacles either do not come up or are easily overcome.

The feeling that you can have a failure that you cannot survive or overcome causes you to live in a retracted state without enjoyment and in fear. When you do not operate from retraction and fear, you operate from the heart, and from strength. You feel capable and coachable. Remember the truth that you live in the kingdom and all that you need is yours. You only have to be open to it to receive it. Expect to be gifted, loved, appreciated and guided all the way to your star-born destiny! See it. Believe it.

This may be your most Brilliant one yet, Inez! I Love the Wisdom and Insights as always, and how you effortlessly help us apply it to our Lives.

My favorites: “If it’s not one Gift, it’s Another.”

“Picturing Ourselves at the end, Prize in hand already will help you step over encumbrances and obstacles. As things are working backward from the done deal, obstacles either do not come up or are easily overcome.”

    Thank You Inez
    Lotus Love & Blessings,
    Stacey

  2. Deborah Says:

What struck me the most was: \”Picturing an unhappy, disappointing, worse case outcome is believing in unhappiness, disappointment and frustration.\” Oh this helps me in my practice big time! Thank you Inez, for gifting me with your delicious undulating wisdom!

  3. Dawn Says:

Inez, I feel as if you know me!

Changing my life has been on my mind for so long that I believed that these plans I made were for the future rather than the present.

However, an opportunity knocked and I opened and walked through that perverbial door!

So, yes, picture happiness and it will be.

  4. Aminisha Says:

Although I’ve read ‘positive thinking’ books, “Seeing is Believing” reached the mechanics of my mind and put me in the driver’s seat. After reading it, childhood memories resurfaced and I realized that these tapes were still running, tapes that said I was powerless, that I couldn’t have what others have. Inez, this piece has me consciously put new programming on my daily agenda.Thank you.

  5. Soulistic Healer Says:

This is such a powerful time of the year – there is so much energy – the sun is vibrant and radiating, at the same time because of all the energy, it is almost a time where people can be made tired from all of it and need to be reminded of the power of positivity. thanks for this reminder and for your visions and visualizing, let us remember:
“And God Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also
provide and multiply your resources for sowing.” (I Corinthians 9:10).

  6. AYESHA Says:

I love how you incorporate the spiritual wisdom with the astrological information. The most important thing for us to understand is that we are in control, have free will and choice in every matter. Your writings are empowering and helpful as pleasant reminders of the power within. Thank You.

  7. I'Shana Says:

Picturing an unhappy, disappointing, worse case outcome is believing in unhappiness, disappointment and frustration.

This is something that we all need to deal with. Thinking negative is easy, so therefore at times you get negative results. Thinking positively is what we should all strive for. It gives hope and a different perspective on things we look for or want to accomplish. I try to work on this constantly because I am a worrier and sometimes negative thinking can consume your everyday thoughts and well-being. Strive for something more!!

  8. Amadoma Bediako Says:

Thank you for this reminder to be careful what I say and visualize. When I am positive it has worked for me for years, yet I slip back into old habits. I have been guilty of saying, “If it’s not one thing…” Thank you for the replacement, “If it’s not one gift, it’s another”.
Thank you so much for the words,”picture of success” and “done deal”. These help me to remember what blessings to keep in sight, present and future!

Thank you for this reminder to be careful what I say and visualize. When I am positive it has worked for me for years, yet I slip back into old habits. I have been guilty of saying, \”If it\’s not one thing…\” Thank you for the replacement, \”If it\’s not one gift, it\’s another\”.
Thank you so much for the words,\”picture of success\” and \”done deal\”. These too help me to remember what blessings to keep in sight, present and future!

  10. Charisse Says:

“Seeing is Believing” — we can’t be reminded of that too much. SEEING IS BELIEVING!!

  11. Niamo Says:

Reading this lunation was/is supra! ~if that’s a word. the whole thing causes me to be in conscious language, where not just the speaking but the present is a looping reminder and cause of my vision. i loved this passage:

“Put a man with healthy energy, full of the sense of his own power on the starting line of an endeavor along with a man with unhealthy energy who [is] involved in his feeling of lack. Who would you entrust to carry your parcel of treasure to the finish line?”

What’s so great, Inez, is that these Lunations help us carry the treasures–our own and others’, stay the course, and appreciate the breath sight hearing smelling feel-sensing as we do so. they speak from the 6th sense/crown and the highest heights. they are Deborah’s spirit guides speaking. they are the wisdom of ancestors talking. they are the knowing of Spirit expressed like lilies of the field, bowlfuls of cherries, the usually elusive crystal stair. so how can we but grow on reading and rereading these words? how can i but flourish?

i know i’m blessed to be here, and i thank you so very much ;-D

  12. Morenike Says:

Hi Inex, I had wanted to email you ever since I read your book. But, better late than never. Your divine insights have been inspirational in exposing how we often sabotage our lives. Like everything else having positive thoughts and dreams take constant work, but as divine beings walking in divine guidance we cannot fail.

Thanks for putting your ego aside and using your life to elevate us as we travel through this time and space.
