Neither Toil nor Spin

New Moon
July 2, 2008
11 Cancer 32’

We need to reposition and redesign the way we think of money in our lives. Money is not what makes it happen. Energy and vision make it happen. Your ability to see it and follow through makes it happen. We have to train ourselves to stop seeing money as a thing that stands between us and our desires.

We must reconstruct and redefine money. Money does not make the world go around. We make the world go around. Money might be involved in certain transactions, but it follows energy. Your energy comes first. If you have the energy, you will have the money when it is time for it. But there is a lot you can do about what you want before, and often without, the exchange of money. It is still true—Money does not buy love. Love begets love, baby. Rich thoughts beget a rich life.

If you are experiencing what appears to be a shortage of funds (or anything else that you require), your mantra might go something like this:

I have more money (or whatever) than I can count, more riches than I can count. I am not limited to the money that is in my pocket, my purse, or my bank account.

That is the absolute truth. When you state this, you state the truth. Broke is a lie. Don’t let it enter your brain or come out of your mouth.

The terrain for happy, fruitful, abundant living is the brain. Well, not the brain really, the mind—the thinker, the collection of memories and the thoughts that interpret them. The idea recently came to me that Venus rules not only imagination, but also interpretation. Imagination is interpretation. Venus also rules money. So couldn’t we postulate that money, love, and beauty (which are also ruled by Venus) are really subject to our imagination and interpretation?

Name, label, and file your circumstances in a way that empowers and leads to success because you are able to keep moving, even if the terrain becomes tough momentarily.

Success means to take successive steps, to keep on going and don’t quit. To quit is to fail to believe in that which is calling you to the prize. Life is calling you to the prize of meaning and abundance.

Be fearless and lighthearted. You can be fearless and lighthearted if you know that you are not dependent upon your personal resources, what you have or don’t have, or what you know or do not know. You are dependent on a universe that wants you to have what you want to have. Life is not hard. Life is not cruel. Life is good. Life is rich with beauty, and human acts of bravery and kindness.

This New Moon the Sun and Moon are in Cancer. The Moon is always dark at the New Moon. You cannot see it. You cannot see your reflection, which can be a blessing if you want to start anew with a clean slate that does not play back old disappointments and failures. The Sun’s entrance into Cancer is also the Summer Solstice, the longest day where the Sun will “stand still” followed by light getting shorter day by day. Cancer is a water sign and water corresponds to emotion. Cancer takes it in; the way water takes whatever is put into it. There is no resistance from water, except, perhaps, to oil.

Water is also a cleanser and a universal solvent. Let’s think of solvent as in that which solves or explains.

Expect answers, solutions, and revelations. Expect the calm that follows the storm and stress of awakening. Be like the lily of the valley. Neither toil nor spin. Let go and let God.

I am struck by the idea that Venus rules imagination. This helps me understand the artist’s instinct to present something that might be thought ugly or dull as worthy of beholding.

And hank you for the reminder to practice, practice, practice the prosperity principles.

    I love you,
    Deb

  2. Niamo Mu'id Says:

that venus rules interpretation and money reminds me of the book Frozen Desire, a history of money as the outcome of a collective manifestation exercise (my spin on it). maybe this is my venus in gemini working overtime, in detriment and at the nadir, but probably no less helpful in manifesting interpretations of what i notice and desire very deeply…perhaps this is why meditation is sooo good for we would toil unnecessarily. after doing it we don’t, knowing things will take care of themselves.

fabulous read on this moon. appreciate it and you.
    love,
    niamo

  3. HELEN Says:

I recall a conversation in the past pertaining
to the topic “Neither Toil or Spin.” The sentence “Money is not what makes it happen. Energy and vision make it happen” was part of the conversation; the first paragraph seems familiar in content. Preparation for outcome using time, energy, love (or commitment) was very important, whether the outcome was monetarily satisfying or not. Conversation ane connection to others was essential; this activity is usually part of any objective. In the long-run there is usually monetary success or other tangible measures of success (physical items). Money is important, however, as a term. Money is convertable more quickly in transations that are likely to occur if there is enough emphasis on energy, conversation, ane love (or commitment).
