Hold on to your vitals. We cometh into glory. We let ourselves shimmy-shake. We dance with our backs in it, with the snake’s grace. Our blessed spines undulate. We know the Lord our soul doth take. We writhe and burst and breathe and wake. Stars bursting in air.
The Moon is full and white and bright at night in Taurus and there are five planets in Scorpio, ruler of sex and ruler of purging–flushing the body’s psychological and physical waste. Scorpio is a fixed water sign. Fixed water means unchanging emotions. The skillful attributes of unchanging emotions are stability and the ability to handle complex negotiations between the singular self and others. Unchanging emotions are troublesome when memory and expectation lock you into the same response with no appropriate adjustments for the current situation.
Hear ye, Hear ye. Maybe you can’t change the world by yourself, but you sure can’t change it without yourself. You must be that which you desire others to be. We are, each of us, the environment in which our relationships, home life, neighborhood, and our world grow.
Each of us being who we are makes up what we experience collectively. It’s no use getting frustrated by what seems like the overwhelming them or the evil one–that one person from whom you want the most, be it your wife, the president, your child or anyone who vexes you and hexes your life that you think would be so much better when they or it changes. The Devil’s name is legion. Dwell on one devil and you get many devils. Blame one, and you set into motion a multiply-the-numbers game until your world is run over with devils–some you know, and some you only read about in the papers and see on TV.
Please note that you imagine your enemies. You dream up the conflicts. You dramatize them in your mind. You have the dialog and the disputation, the request and the answer, going on, sometimes just below the surface of your awareness. In other words you are not tuned into the thrashings in your head. It is like static in a radio that you have gotten used to. Ask yourself if the person or persons you have a problem with has ever heard a clear statement of your grievances in a calm, nonjudgmental, non-whining manner. “You hurt my feelings just now. I don’t believe that you appreciate and respect me.” Your girlfriends might know your issues, but he doesn’t. Yet when you interact, all that unsaid business is in there.
You may say that it is not realistic for you to sit down with the one toward whom you have bad feelings. Your excitement is too great for you to sit across a table and discuss the issues calmly. Closer examination might reveal you are afraid to sit at the table with your enemy. Perhaps you believe, lest you be defenseless, you need your weapons waving in order to have a conversation.

If you are not willing to sit at the table, then perhaps you can continue to meet in your imagination. However, imagine what you want the outcome to be. Choose to be calm. Choose peace. (Libra on Scorpio’s 12th) When you are mentally calm you are also not manipulative, so there is no worry that you control the other person by what you do with your mind. You can be certain that you have no control over the other person, even in cases where you appear to be in control.
The following prayer can be used to center you in perfect peace:
Let me be mindful that I might be soul-full. Soul is the Source from and through which I may cleanse my body of unhealthy memories. I am safe. I am safe because I interact with this world in a way that my pool remains pure. The profane never reach it. I am protected without being walled off. I am protected by a filtering system which bars anything unbecoming from coming into me and equally permits the unbecoming in me to be eliminated appropriately.
If you are transformed, if you change your way of living, your talk, and your game, nothing will ever be the same. Your enemies will morph into friends. If you be lifted, others will be lifted.
Scorpio, speak to us of being unbearably close in relationships that wound us constantly.

Here is the secret that you don’t know. The way you think about others forges the link between the two of you. If you get mad every time you think about what she said or did, you are forging a “designer” connection between you and her. It will seem to play out accordingly. If the link persists, unrelated behaviors will be responded to with the same energy as the original problem, and will be the reason you feel the way you do and react as you do, and the original problem may not even have started with her.
“The same thing is happening with her. She is seeing you in a certain way and if she sees you as hostile, she reacts to you via this perception. After a while you do not know which came first, and you don’t realize that you are contributing to each other’s negative perception and in the end, in the big crisis separation drama; you are both innocent of what slaughtered you in each other’s eyes.
There are five planets in Scorpio until the 17th when Venus enters Sagittarius. Then there will be four planets in Scorpio– still a heavy emphasis. There is a tendency to drama. Either you are in it or it is around you. If you can keep your head when those about you are losing theirs, you will be rising above stuff and attracting healthier, less destructive outcomes. The Sun is conjunct Mars. This combines light and the energy which tears down, but it also converts. The material of conflict is used to build a better platform on which to relate.
Remember, everyone, no matter what sign they are, has a Scorpio arena in their life. If you are a Gemini or have Gemini rising, you are triggered in your work and health by Scorpio. If you are a Cancer or have Cancer rising, the area of emotional intensity is with children or lovers. If you are a Leo or have Leo rising, it is the home or family that might call out for your attention.
The way to resolve intense emotional drama is with the sword of truth. See an upright sword as an emblem for that which will help you prosecute your search for consciousness and truth. Don’t be afraid of it. It can’t hurt you. Sometimes we are more comfortable with the lie than the truth. False conclusions create devils and giants. The truth sets you free.
